The Wonderfull Discoverie of Witches is a solo journaling game played with a deck of tarot cards, a 6-sided die, and a bag of tokens.

You play a woman accused of witchcraft. Whether you have practiced magic or not is up to you, as is whether you will confess to it. You know that the odds are stacked against you, and that your chances of surviving the trial are infinitely slim.

You have been held for days and weeks, treated worse than the lowest animal. You are existing on the edges of your endurance, high on adrenaline and fear and desperation. You are sure you won’t survive this, but all you know how to do is to tell your story and hope - even when you have stopped being sure whether the story you are telling is true or not.

The Wonderfull Discoverie of Witches is a game about human resilience in the face of overwhelming odds and almost certain death. It is a game about being separated from a community you loved, isolated and singled out and called witch, traitor, demon. It is a game about fear - both yours, and that of those arounds you. It is a game about not being believed.

I believe there's a typo in the entry for the Ace of Pentacles, or at least there is in the version from Kickstarter. The last character is missing.

When playing I assumed it was 2.

Can't wait to play this! Love the aesthetics.

This is GORGEOUS. Let me know if you do a print run.

Will do! I'm considering making it a further stretch goal on The Wretched but we'll see!

Hype!
